Unholy Ghosts

Unholy Ghosts - Stacia Kane I put off reading this book for a while basically because I'm a bit of a scaredy cat, but I finally built up the courage to read it and boy am I glad I did. I loved Chess, Terrible and Lex. I was a bit put off by the drug use, but I can clearly see that it is a coping mechanism for Chess and as such it has now become a way of life. Once I got my head around that fact, I enjoyed the books a lot more. Although how she keeps standing with the amount of drugs she is taking is anyone guess.

Downside is gloomy, dark and depressing. It reminds me of slums and it is a struggle just to survive day to day.

Chess has a job though as a Churchwitch, trying to disprove that people's houses are haunted. From trying to send ghosts to the "City" to trying to make ends meet Chess just makes you want to somehow make everything right.
